Of course these aren’t your 90s style fanny packs, but they’ve been upgraded and luxed up. Cue the parade of It girls like Kendall Jenner, Rocky Barnes, Aimee Song wearing the latest Gucci belt bag around their waist recently. But how does this fashion trend work for the rest of us? For anyone who isn’t a size 0-2 model or blogger, how can you pull off this look while still looking stylish and not adding bulk? We give you the lowdown on how to wear…

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. PLEASE READ MY PRIVACY POLICY FOR MORE INFO.   What can we say? We love shopping! Best of all, if it’s online shopping because of the convenience, the variety and sometimes the price, all in the comfort in our PJs. When we were still working full-time, we actually set aside a personal monthly clothing allowance just for online shopping, and explored several of the following e-commerce sites. We’ve decided to compile a list of sites that include some of the best online fashion shopping sites that we’ve come across.

    Mulberry Alexa Bag

Uh oh. I’m not one for It bags or even designer bags, but Mulberry has the new Alexa bag out. Named after British young celeb Alexa Chung, it looks like an expensive satchel with a braided top handle & extra long strap to hang it nonchalantly on your shoulder. Coming in a range of colors and even pink leopard print, I expect to see knock-offs of the bag being rolled out as we speak. For myself, I would probably go with the tan colored one in soft buffalo leather. I’ve always lusted over the classic Bayswater bag but the leather on the Alexa is so much softer, smoother and buttery.…

    Shaggy Coats

My friend C saw this cool white furry cardigan at a fashion show we were at the Mandarin Gallery last Thursday, and afterwards, dragged me to every store to find the damned thing. Finally, she saw it at People of Asia, where they had displayed a black colored version in the window. She eventually purchased the original white one, but asked me how it was possible to wear a black version of it without looking like a gorilla. Shaggy coats are really not my thing, but I remembered seeing this street scene photo from Mr Newton on the Refinery29 website: She looks all round and plump and cosy in her…

    Indiesin

Oh, how I love Facebook ads! I found the website Indiesin on there & of course I had to click through. It’s a local Singaporean online boutique that stocks so-called “indie” type apparel, very much in the style of Urban Outfitters which I love. And practically everything goes for around $20 odd Singapore Dollars! How reasonable is that! If you want your fashion fast, affordable & hipster, this is the store for you & me!

What I Want to Wear Now aka Fantasy Wardrobe

So a status update: I am still living out of my suitcase that contained only 2.5 week’s worth of clothes & am unable to gain access to my full wardrobe…UGH!! It is almost a nightmare – I am still living in my summer casuals, when really it should be nice & dark & wintry. I do love having my complete set of things around me, because I often dress according to my mood that day. With the help of the Polyvore website (which is a neat fashion collage/trend board website), I have come up with 3 different looks as part of my envisioned “Fantasy Wardrobe”. This is why I like…
