It’s music festival season, and our favourite time of the year! Not only does it mean the start of some warmer weather, but music festivals just bring out our inner hippie, which we would love to be pretty much all of the time. Our inner hippie wants to be wearing long flowy dresses, crazy head gear and anything embellished with fringe, studs or embroidery. Best of all to be shoeless and fancy free, dancing and having a blast with your girlfriends for one of those feel-good events of the year. And hello.. Beyonce! Need we say more? One of our favourite things during music festival season of course, is to…
Looking at the photos already from Men’s Fashion week in Milan, you just get this joyous feeling that Spring’s around the corner. Well okay, technically we don’t have any seasons here, but I’m waiting for some bright new clothes to wear! I really like how everyone manages to squeeze a pop of colour under their winter coat And you know what they say about the economy when designers start predicting hyper coloured collections! Yes, waiting for my stocks on Etrade to skyrocket!:Pp style.com
Could have killed myself for not bringing at camera to Art Stage Singapore. I didn’t, but alas no photos! The art fair was pretty amazing though with great pieces from international artists like David Lachapelle, Murakami and other lesser known Asian artists as well. Source Organized by the former director from Art Basel, the show definitely had a great vibe & an even more interesting audience. Funky, international and classy, not unlike some of these great street chic shots from Art Basel in Miami from Elle.com. You know what I mean? (Why didn’t I bring a camera?)
Hmm.. I don’t know how it happened, but overnight it seems like Singapore became this incredibly hip city! Think it all started with the Aussie-based Laneway music festival that’s coming here next year, bringing Ladyhawke, Warpaint, Temper Trap, and other great bands to our little island! Then there was the announcement that Crystal Castles is popping over for a gig at Zouk, Yvan Rodic of the Facehunter blog is coming for a book signing and the icing on the cake – MGMT is coming as well in March 2011! Great great moves for the indie scene in general and I’m just overly exuberant! Waiting for more raves in some random…
I suppose this is almost a Part Two of the previous post. It’s great to know that a young Asian celebrity has her own style that’s equal parts girlish & sexy without going overboard. Especially when translating trends from other parts of the world, people sometimes tend to get too carried away by taking them too literally or bundling them altogether into their outfits at once. However, Kary Ng seems to have it down pat. And I never really cared about the label Sass & Bide, but their dresses do look very good on her! You can find her blog here.

Street style photographers capture the scene in the front, but for serious fashionistas and voyeurs like myself, the style stalking continues inside the tent! Welcome! snaps from thecobrasnake & jakandjil
Suppose they are more of a styling thing in photoshoots & fashion shows, but could these be the next new accessory? Great new way to substitute for a belt! Pics from style.com & jakandjil
