    ERIIN X LENOVO FASHION SHOW

Cool, not-so pretentious fashion.. That’s what these girls at ERIIN are doing for their online store. Selling independent labels such as RBRTH, Al & Alicia, Kahlo and other Asian & Australian brands at pretty affordable prices, the ERIIN girls are bringing a little bit of easy fashion items to your doorstep! Definitely inspired to organize an event & to do more collaborations with other creatives! Holler!

MUSE OF THE MONTH: JULIET SIMMS

Yeah I know she didn’t win The Voice, but her style was just plain awesome!. From the super grungy 70s rock vibe to sophisticated padded & studded evening gowns to some really goth-looking Victoria’s Secret-esque wings, this girl embodied the whole modern rocker girl to the core! I loved how she really used her dresses/costumes? as part of the whole stage performance, like her wings & the cape that was part of her red dress. She really reminded me of Florence Welch at certain points; you can really tell she has great stage presence. Plus, her gritty voice was one of a kind. I’m so sad the show ended.. anyway,…

    BLUEPRINT TRADESHOW 2012

Went to Blueprint trade show to have a peek over the past week. Here are some shots from the fashion shows featuring local designer labels like SUNDAYS, Elohim & Possi-tilly-ty. The trade show was still very small, with a focus on Singapore & regional design labels. Price points were pretty high for retail, honestly, very nice to look at, but I wouldn’t spend that much money on accessories:( I didn’t have much a chance to check out the Blueprint Emporium sale event, but think that might have been a better call. & more fun! I’m not sure this tradeshow thing will really take off in Singapore, considering the market is…

    JUST DON’T GET IT

Sometimes you think people get you, but they don’t. Sometimes you think you get people, but you don’t. Everyone has their own place & time where they belong & everything feels right. You love the people & the city, and they love you back. Sometimes not. So what happens if you don’t fit?…Do you make a statement & live it anyway? Pave the way for others to follow, step up & be the leader of the pack?                 Great stuff from BOTB/Hellz Bellz!

    SHOPPING STREETS WE LOVE!

Gosh, I don’t know how I got into this topic, but I was really researching places on where to shop in Bali & writing an email to a friend, and I thought about some of the awesome shopping streets that I’ve been to. I’ve really become less & less of a mall person because you get some really unique pieces at these independent boutiques on shopping streets. Not only is the shopping great, but the whole vibe of the street is very artsy, funky & laidback, which is exactly what I like. Like what we have on Haji Lane here in Singapore, there are some really funky & iconic shopping streets in…

BEST OF SPRING 2012: JASON WU, PRADA, J MENDEL

Amazing colours, dramatic skirts,  preppy, poppy, and soo wearable.! This season’s collections in general have been disappointing, maybe because there hasn’t been too much of the OTT stuff, just very very wearable stuff. Some would possibly even say mainstream. Hmm.. not that I mind.. But I am pretty sure we will see plenty of knock offs down the line..       source

    BEST OF NYFW: PROENZA SCHOULER

I like the PS guys because they’re very consistent. They bring these new techniques & fabrications to their collections, and yet each time, you can always tell it’s their style. They may use a similar color tone, lots of prints with black based backgrounds etc, but it always seems different to me. Plus it’s always so ladylike (those skirts that end just above the knee!) but with such a cool edge and never boring , any girl can still wear it out. This is a brand legacy in the making!!   source

BEST OF NYFW: 3.1 PHILLIP LIM

Icy cool minimalism. Funny I always had the impression of Phillip Lim being a very funky dark navy/gold/embellishments kind of label, but lately it’s just been all this minimalist color blocking stuff. It’s very Californian for sure, very cool and very easy to wear. No weird crafty accents circa Proenza Schouler Fall 2011 RTW that everyone seems to be copying. Badly, I might add. This is.. refreshing!   source
