Red hot trend alert! The woven bag trend isn’t going anywhere for Spring Summer 2018, in fact, we think the trend is getting stronger, as the weather gets warmer! Plain woven bags, coloured wovenbags, handpainted woven bags, woven bags with tassels, pom poms and all sorts of fringe, and made from all sorts of materials – straw, raffia, wicker etc… we count down the top 15 beautiful woven bags and accessories that we’re currently obsessed with, and you need to buy!

1) Clutches

Small enough to fit in your essentials, but still festive enough to make a statement for your outfit. This is one of the easiest ways to break into a fashion trend that you want to try without going overboard. Plus carrying a clutch is always c’est chic!

2) Fringe bags

For a design that’s gonna stand out even more from the rest, choose a fringe-trimmed bag or sandal for your summer look. This season’s fringed look for woven accessories feature coloured and tiered fringe that make your new accessory a unique piece for the summer.

3) Bucket bags

Combine one of the still trendiest bag shapes with woven materials and you have a hot new bag that screams “must-have”! We like the bucket shape for a sturdier and roomier bag that still fits everything, and is so handy to carry.

The most common bag shape this season is the round bag. We love the easy & simple style, and how it goes with just about any outfit you could wear in the cooler months and warmer weather.

6) Pom poms & tassels

Decorative elements and trims like pom poms and tassels add fun and colour to an otherwise natural coloured woven bag. We are starting to think the more & the bigger, the better! What do you think?

My aunt told me the same thing, they’re coming back in trend again, so it’s probably the right time to dig it out again!
